As our Hotel Assistant Chief Engineer, you will help oversee the efficient operation of our hotel’s engineering and maintenance functions. Your primary focus will be on supporting daily maintenance tasks, leading the Engineering team, and ensuring that our facilities remain in excellent condition. Responsibilities
  • Support Maintenance Operations: Assist in managing and coordinating daily maintenance tasks, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and overall facility upkeep.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Ensure preventive maintenance is completed on schedule to minimize breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and mentor engineering staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Work closely with the front office and housekeeping to promptly address maintenance concerns that impact guest experiences.
  • Safety Compliance: Guarantee all maintenance activities adhere to safety regulations and hotel protocols.
  • Inventory Management: Help monitor and maintain sufficient stock of tools, equipment, and necessary supplies.
  • Budgeting: Assist the Chief Engineer in overseeing the maintenance budget, tracking expenditures, and finding cost-saving opportunities.
  • Emergency Response: Be ready to respond to after-hours maintenance emergencies as required.
  • Sustainability Initiatives: Support the hotel’s sustainability goals by identifying energy-saving and waste-reduction measures.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3-5 years in hotel or hospitality maintenance, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution abilities.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with guests and team members.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical) are advantageous.
  • Availability: Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
